When school is out for Spring Break, young musicians don’t have to hit pause on creativity. Our Spring Break Rock Band Camp 2026 at Grosse Pointe Music Academy gives students a full week of hands-on music making, collaboration, and live performance experience.

For over 15 years, our Rock Band Camps have helped hundreds of Metro Detroit students learn how to rehearse, write, and perform in real band settings. Now, that same high-energy format is available during Spring Break.

Spring Break Camp Details

Dates: March 30 – April 3, 2026
Time: Monday–Friday | 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Ages: 8–17
Tuition: $375 for the week
Multi-Camp Discount: $50 off when enrolling in more than one 2026 camp

Students should bring:

• Their own instrument (guitar, bass, sticks, etc.)
• A packed lunch each day

What Students Learn at Spring Break Rock Band Camp

This is not just a “jam session.” Campers experience structured, guided training throughout the week:

🎸 Instrumental Study

Focused work on guitar, bass, drums, piano, and voice with professional instructors.

🎤 Band Collaboration

Students are placed into bands, rehearse daily, and learn how to communicate musically as a team.

🎶 Performance Skills

Stage presence, confidence, and live technique are emphasized throughout the week.

✍️ Music Theory & Songwriting

Campers explore how chord progressions, rhythm, and melody create strong songs.

🎧 Music Appreciation

Students dig into rock, pop, blues, and other influential styles to broaden their understanding of modern music.

A Screen-Free, Creative Spring Break Option

For families staying in town during Spring Break, this camp provides a productive, engaging alternative to staying home. Students stay active, social, and challenged in a structured environment led by experienced teachers.

By the end of the week, campers gain:

• Stronger musicianship

Founded in 2005, Grosse Pointe Music Academy has served the local community for over two decades, providing private music instruction in a supportive, welcoming environment. As interest in music education continues to grow, the academy is expanding lesson availability, adding new seasonal camps, and welcoming additional faculty members to better serve students of all ages.

Expanded lesson offerings for students of all ages

The academy offers private music lessons for beginners through advanced students, with instruction available in:

• Bass guitar and ukulele
• Violin, viola, cello, and upright bass
• Flute, saxophone, clarinet, trumpet, and trombone

Lessons are available for children, teens, and adults, with flexible scheduling options designed to fit busy family routines.
