A New Rock Band Experience for 2026
For over 15 years, Grosse Pointe Music Academy has been home to one of Metro Detroit’s most popular summer rock band camps. Hundreds of young musicians have learned to jam, record, and perform together in our immersive 5-day sessions. Now, we’re excited to expand that same energy and creativity into the school year with our brand-new Mid-Winter Break Camp and Spring Break Camp for 2026!
Mid-Winter Break Camp: February 16 – 20, 2026
When local public schools are closed for Mid-Winter Break, Grosse Pointe Music Academy opens its doors for an unforgettable week of music-making. Perfect for students ages 8–17, this 5-day camp runs Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM, giving kids and teens the chance to explore instruments, collaborate in bands, and perform live—all in one action-packed week.
Campers will spend their days learning:
- Instrumental Study – guitar, bass, drums, piano, and voice
- Band Collaboration – forming groups and rehearsing together
- Performance Skills – developing stage confidence and live technique
- Music Theory & Songwriting – understanding how great songs work
- Music Appreciation – discovering rock, pop, blues, and more
Tuition is $375 for the week, with a $50 discount for multiple camp enrollments. Students bring their own instruments and lunch each day.
Spring Break Camp: March 30 – April 3, 2026
For families staying in town during Spring Break, this week-long program offers the same immersive band experience as our Mid-Winter session. It’s an excellent way for young musicians to stay creative while school is out—and it gives parents an engaging, screen-free activity for the week.
