Winter Music Camp at Grosse Pointe Music Academy starts January 2nd, 2013.
Music camp was so much fun this summer that we had students asking us to host our music camps over winter break. Music Camp is a highly effective method for building strong practice habits. Beginner students and those who are currently studying a musical instruments will benefit greatly from this camp. Students in music camp will learn how to play with other musicians in harmony and in time. Music camp is a place where students can immerse themselves in many different music subjects.
Learn about playing songs, writing songs, music theory, jamming, chords, ear training, composition, rhythm, melody and harmony. Students will also learn about different styles of music including rock, blues, jazz, and more.
Join us for this fun, effective, and affordable camp December 26th-28th and January 2nd-4th from 9am-2pm each day. Each week is 150 dollars or 275 for both weeks. Each week will contain different content.
Want to keep the kids away from the TV and the video games during winter break? Wouldn’t you rather they focus on something perhaps a little more meaningful? Musical study provides discipline for students that helps to shape and sharpen the human mind in so many ways.
Students studying guitar, piano, bass, drums, flute, saxophone, trumpet, clarinet, violin, viola, cello, ukulele, or voice are encouraged to join the class. Beginner students and students currently studying music are welcome to take the camp. Differing instruction will be provided to satisfy the different skill levels of students entering the camp.
Students must have their own instrument if they are playing anything other than drums or piano/keyboard. Electric Guitar players and Bass Guitar Players may bring their own amplifiers.
Students will need to bring their own lunch.
