Our private guitar lessons include acoustic, electric guitar and bass guitar. We have an excellent guitar teaching staff and teach guitar lessons in everything from rock to jazz, classical to pop, Spanish to chording and more!

Piano Lessons and Keyboard Lessons
Our school offers piano lessons for students of all ages and abilities from beginners to late intermediate students. We offer every style of piano lessons from classical to jazz and pop. We have students who want to play just for fun and students who excel with a University Music curriculum. As we have several piano teachers on staff we are able to match students with a teacher that works best with their particular age, ability and interest. We start piano lessons from age 5 onwards. Before age 5 we recommend our group Music Together® Program. Our piano lessons are all private one-on-one instruction and lesson lengths are 30 minutes, 45 minutes or 1 hour. While our piano lessons are all private, parents are more than welcome to sit in on their child’s lessons.
Drum Lessons
We teach drumset drumming for almost any style of music. Students at Grosse Pointe Music Academy will learn to recognize and play beats by ear as well as learn to read drumming notation. Many assume that the drums will be too loud to practice at home but there are muffling systems for acoustic drums that help to seriously tame the volume. Electronic drums are also very effective for home and professional use.
Voice Lessons
Our voice and ability to sing is the instrument that we are all born with! Singing is enjoyed by many people whether it is on stage or in the shower. Our teachers will help you expand your range and sing on key in any style you wish.
Violin, Fiddle, Viola and Cello Lessons
Grosse Pointe Music Academy offers string lessons for both classical and contemporary musical styles.
Saxophone, Clarinet, Flute Lessons
We offer private training for band students to help them get ahead in music class! Students not participating in school bands are also welcome to take lessons on Saxophone, Clarinet and Flute.
Ukulele Lessons
The Ukulele is growing wildly in popularity with kids and adults alike. This 4-String fretted instrument makes it simple to pick up chords and songs in no time at all!
