Sarah Boyd – Center Director / Certified Music Together® Teacher
Sarah Boyd is a certified Music Together® teacher and Director of the program at Grosse Pointe Music Academy. She holds a Michigan Music Education teaching certificate and has completed additional training in early childhood music development.
She began her career teaching music in Detroit and has led the Music Together® program since 2010, building a strong and consistent community of families.
Sarah also teaches piano and serves as a Lead Teaching Artist with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. As a parent of four, she brings real-world family experience into every class.
Emily Schienke – Certified Music Together® Teacher
Emily holds a Bachelor of Music Therapy from Eastern Michigan University and has performed at Carnegie Hall with EMU’s University Choir. She plays voice, guitar, percussion, and flute.
She has extensive experience working with children and young adults with a range of developmental needs, as well as teaching piano to both typical and special needs students.
As a mother of five, Emily brings both professional and personal insight into her classes, focusing on connection, participation, and family engagement.
Karen “Bosco” Vesprini – Certified Music Together® Teacher
Karen is a Detroit-based performer with a background in singing, dance, and live performance. She has worked with a variety of musical groups and continues to perform locally.
She co-founded the band Karen Bosco and the People Next Door and is also involved in children’s music through the Loritos Band.
Karen joined Music Together® after participating as a parent and now brings her performance experience into a class environment focused on participation, connection, and early childhood development.
