Music Classes for Babies, Toddlers, Preschoolers & Families
Grosse Pointe Music Academy offers year-round Music Together® classes for children from birth through age five and the adults who participate with them. These structured, research-based classes combine singing, movement, rhythm activities, and instrument play in a relaxed, supportive setting.
Families return session after session because the program is consistent, engaging, and easy to incorporate into weekly routines.
How the Program Works
Music Together® runs in structured sessions throughout the year, each featuring new songs, activities, and materials.
- Fall Session (10 Weeks): Begins after Labor Day
- Winter Session (10 Weeks): Begins in January
- Spring Session (10 Weeks): Begins in April
- Summer Session (Shorter Format): Flexible outdoor-focused sessions
- Family Favorites (December): 3-week holiday session
This structure allows families to stay consistent year-round while also offering shorter entry points when needed.
What to Expect in Class
- Singing, dancing, and guided movement
- Instrument play (shakers, drums, rhythm sticks, etc.)
- A non-performance, participation-based environment
- Opportunities for connection with your child and other families
Classes are designed so children can participate at their own level while still benefiting from the group setting.

Family Favorites: December Holiday Session
Each December, we offer a 3-week Family Favorites session designed for families who want a shorter, flexible option during the holidays.
This session features a curated mix of songs from across the Music Together® collections and is a popular entry point for new families.
Summer Music Together® Outdoor Classes
During the summer, classes are offered outdoors in a shaded, relaxed setting. This provides a comfortable environment for movement, singing, and group participation.
