Grosse Pointe Music Academy Commentary on The Little Stars Foundation

The Little Stars Foundation is a shining example of how music can uplift both performers and audiences alike. Founded in 2007, the organization connects young musicians with local seniors by arranging performances in nursing homes and senior centers throughout Canton, Plymouth, Westland, and Novi.
During the most recent holiday season, these young performers brought joy to over 360 seniors—delivering not just music, but gifts like fuzzy socks, showing care and compassion through small gestures that leave a lasting impact. As a music academy committed to building community through the arts, we applaud Little Stars’ mission to blend youth music education with meaningful service.
We encourage others to support their cause or start something similar in your own community. Music is more than notes and rhythm—it’s a bridge between generations.
