We are thrilled to announce the grand finale of the Grosse Pointe Music Academy Summer Rock Band Camp! Join us for an unforgettable week-ending performance at Rustic Cabins Bar in Grosse Pointe Park. Mark your calendars for an evening of incredible music and fun on the following dates:
Performance Date and Venue:
- Date: July 19th, 2024 (for the first session)
- Date: August 2nd, 2024 (for the second session)

About the Summer Rock Band Camp: If you’re looking for the best summer music camp in the Detroit area, you won’t want to miss the Grosse Pointe Music Academy Summer Rock Band Camps! Our 5-day program, recommended for students between the ages of 8-17 years old, is the perfect way for young musicians to immerse themselves in musical study.
Camp Schedule:
- Session 1: July 15th-19th, 2024
- Session 2: July 29th-August 2nd, 2024
Camp Details: Throughout the week, students will spend 5 hours per day playing their instrument, learning music theory, composing music, and participating in a variety of other lessons designed to help them grow as musicians. Whether your child is a beginner or an experienced musician, our summer music camp is a great way for them to supplement their private lessons and make new friends who share their passion for music.
Our Philosophy: At the Grosse Pointe Music Academy, we believe that discipline, patience, and intelligent practice are the keys to becoming a great musician. Our summer music camp is designed to instill these values in our students, as well as to provide them with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in their musical journey.
Program Highlights: Our rock band camp program includes instrumental study for guitar, bass, drums, piano, and voice, as well as lessons in performance, rhythm, music theory, improvisation, music appreciation, music history, and composition. We believe that a well-rounded musician is someone who appreciates and understands a wide variety of music, from rock and blues to jazz and world music.
Tuition: Our summer music camp tuition is affordable at just $375 per week (SAVE $50 WHEN YOU SIGN UP FOR BOTH WEEKS!). All students will need to bring their own instrument and lunch. We recommend wearing loose, comfortable clothing and shoes for outdoor play.
