Memorial Day 2025 – Grosse Pointe Music Academy Holiday Update
Grosse Pointe Music Academy will be closed on Monday, May 26th in observance of Memorial Day. We wish all of our students and families a safe and relaxing holiday weekend!
While we take this brief pause, it’s a great time to reflect on the musical progress made so far this year—and to look ahead at what’s coming up next!
🎶 Keep the Momentum Going This Summer
As tempting as it is to take a total summer break, we strongly encourage students to keep their lessons going throughout the summer months. Consistency—especially during a time without school or other academic pressures—can lead to some of the most noticeable progress.
Even if you’re traveling or have a busy schedule, we offer flexible summer scheduling and online lesson options to help students stay engaged.

Our 2025 Summer Music Camp is enrolling now! It’s a fun, fast-paced 5-day experience where students (ages 8–17) form a band, rehearse songs, learn theory, and perform for friends and family.

Quick Practice Tip
Even during a holiday weekend, just 10–15 minutes of practice can help maintain progress. Play through a favorite song or perform for someone at home—it makes a difference!
