Grosse Pointe Music Academy in Canton Township has quickly become a leading destination for music education in the western Wayne County area. Following the success of our original Grosse Pointe location, we proudly expanded to Canton to offer a second, vibrant hub for music lessons.
At our Canton location, we currently offer private and group instruction in:
- Guitar Lessons (Electric, Acoustic, Classical, and Bass Guitar – 4, 5, or 6 strings)
- Piano Lessons (Classical and Contemporary)
- Voice Lessons (Classical and Contemporary styles)
- Drum Lessons (All styles and skill levels)
- Violin and Viola Lessons (All ages with appropriately sized instruments)
- Music Together® Classes (For infants, toddlers, and their parents, ages birth–5 years)
Whether you’re looking to pursue music professionally or simply enjoy playing at home, our instructors tailor lessons to meet each student’s individual goals and pace. We provide a relaxed, inspiring environment where students can build their skills confidently—whether mastering classical repertoire, learning their favorite pop songs, or developing strong technical fundamentals.
Our Facility:
Our Canton location features spacious, clean, and organized classrooms designed to create a comfortable and motivating space for learning. We are located in the Canton-Ford Crossing plaza on the east side of North Canton Center Road. Heading north on Canton Center, you’ll turn into one of the next two driveways after passing Roy’s Burgers (a local favorite!).
Since opening in September 2011, our Canton location has welcomed close to 100 students and continues to grow. We attribute our success to the dedication of our hardworking staff, the exceptional quality of our university-trained music instructors, and the supportive community we serve.
