Grosse Pointe Music Academy is proud to announce the opening of our new Canton, Michigan location. We are currently seeking talented instructors and welcoming new students for our private lesson and group music instruction programs. Our academy offers the following programs:
Available Teaching Positions:
1. Piano and Keyboard Instruction
We are seeking piano instructors who are comfortable teaching students ages 5 through adult. We welcome teachers with backgrounds in classical, pop, and contemporary piano methods.
2. Guitar and Bass Guitar Instruction
Guitar instructors should be prepared to teach students ages 7 and older. We are hiring teachers for acoustic guitar, electric guitar, classical guitar, and bass guitar.
3. Drum and Percussion Instruction
Drum instructors should be proficient in teaching rock, blues, jazz, and pop styles. Students typically begin lessons once they are able to reach the foot pedals.
4. Voice and Singing Instruction
Voice instructors will primarily work with students ages 9 and up. We offer both classical voice training and popular music singing lessons.
5. Violin Instruction
Violin instructors for both Suzuki and traditional methods are encouraged to apply. Students may begin as early as age 3 through our Suzuki program.
6. Woodwind Instruction (Clarinet, Saxophone, Flute)
Most woodwind students begin lessons around age 9. We are seeking qualified instructors for clarinet, saxophone, and flute.
7. Rock Band Program Instructors
We are seeking versatile instructors with performance experience on drums, bass, guitar, and keyboard to lead group rock band classes. Students typically have a minimum of six months’ experience on their instrument and are generally ages 8 and up.
